A lot of people have been wondering how this website works, how to register, login, leave a comment, contribute content etc.
Well, with this website we took a totally different approach by integrating it with Facebook’s API and allowing young people to setup accounts by simply clicking the blue “Connect with Facebook” button on the sidebar which pops up a window where users can enter their Facebook login details and click on the blue connect button.

I can barely contain my excitement, but 3 days from now our first issue of the Leicester Wave will be printed and distributed all across Leicester. Knowing that people will be reading articles written by the young people is just brilliant, and in all honestly I’ve been involved in this project before the summer of last year and to know that I can now have something which I can hold, which has my article in, I know it is finally here and it is happening. So all I really wanted to say was buy Wednesday’s issue of the Leicester Mercury and be a part of the Wave revolution. Yeah!

Just to let you all know Leicester’s & Leicestershires young people got an early Christmas present today from MediaBox.
They have awarded Citizens Eye the funding for the first 6 editions of the Wave Newspaper – 16 page supplement in the Mercury – to be published in January and totally written, edited and sourced by young people!
This is an acknowledgment of the hard work and dedication by the editorial team of young people who have already completed over 40 articles ready for publication.
Happy Christmas!
Yours
